About Belair Auto Parts
A little history concerning this business and it owner, Mike.
Belair Auto Parts specializes in 1949-1954 Chevy Parts offering reproduction, used, NOS and restored parts. Why 1949-1954 you might ask? Because at 15 years old I bought my first 1953 Chevy Belair 2 dr Sedan, Baby Blue and White with a PG trans and fell in love. I took my drivers test in that car. Do you want to talk 53’s call me because I am currently building a 1953 Belair 2dr Post car to replicate my first car. Not duplicate but look like and have modern improvements that I wanted back then.
I do not have store front. I have always worked out of my home. I try to have in stock the parts that the big companies don’t make time for. Used parts that I restore. NOS parts that are hard to find and pieces and parts the big guys don’t realize are important.
And information that helps to clarify how these cars are put together.
Since the day I bought my first 1953 Chevy “at 15 yrs old” I have owned and driven through the years these cars, a 1954 Chevy, a 1957 Chevy, a 1958 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser, A 1966 Dodge Conv., a 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury, A 1970 Baracuda 383 4 spd, a 1967 Firebird, a 1940 Ford Coupe, a 1959 Ford Ranchero, A 1964 Chevy Impala 2 dr HT, a 1966 Dodge Dart GT.
I have also owned a Model A coupe, a 1950 Merc 2dr and a 1940 Ford 2dr Sedan but these never made the road.
I am currently building a 1953 Chevy Belair 2 dr Sedan to mimic my first car. As with many people today I am building it to be the way I wanted my first car to be, V8, 700R4, disc brakes, Baby Blue and White with white walls and 57 Cadillac hubcaps.
I also belonged to the Westchester Street Rod Association in NY for 11+ years and owned a restoration shop for 7 years.
I put 16+ years in the US Navy, worked in NY for 15 years as an X-ray welder, welded for the Navy and worked as an aluminum welder for 7+ years.
This does not make me an expert but it does make me a storehouse of trivial knowledge. Don’t hesitate to call and ask question. 352 875 2344
