1954 Chevy one piece Front Bumper

1954 Chevy one piece Front Bumper was a new design for GM in 1954.  These Chevy Bumpers are being made today new and have very nice chrome.  They will work nicely with or without using the bumper guards and I have had no complaints about these bumpers having shipped hundreds.

Please understand, no one today, makes a reproduction of the 3 piece GM bumpers for any of the 1949-1954 Chevy.  The only way to get those three piece bumpers today is to have your bumpers re chromed, buy re chromed bumpers from me or find NOS bumpers.  From time to time you will find elsewhere on this website re chrome bumpers and grills.

Your original 1953 or 1954 Chevy bumper was a three piece bumper, riveted together behind each bumper guard.  These guards are also known as Bumperettes. Throughout the world GM supplied the 1953 and  1954 Chevy equipped with three piece bumpers EXCEPT IN CALIFORNIA.  California had different rules for production.  If GM wanted to sell a 1953 or 1954 Chevy in California they had to be  equipped with a One Piece Bumper both front and rear.  That is why these one piece bumpers are called California Style one piece Bumpers.  They have holes for bumper bolts and use the stock size “high dome” bumper bolt listed elsewhere on this page.
