This Ignition Lock and key set was used in many GM vehicles in the 50’s. In particular this style lock and key set was used in the 1953 and 1954 Chevy Ignition Switch. It was also used on some 60’s GM ignition switches. This lock set fits well and works well. Idea for you beautiful Chevy restoration.
If your car is a “concourse” restoration, you might not want to use this switch. The reasoning for that comment is just one thing. The original GM lock and key set has some grooves formed into the area where your fingers would grip the key. These locks are smooth in that area.
